Not far south east of Rouen, just across the border of the Eure department, is the village of Radepont. And near Radepont is a very strange building. At first glance it is either a castle - complete with moat, or perhaps a cathedral - complete with gothic arched windows. Or then again, perhaps an English manor house from a Gothic novel, with its four odd octagonal towers.

In fact this strange construction is the old Levavasseur cotton mill; built at the end of the 19th century on a site on the banks of the river Andelle, the building was partly destroyed by a fire, and has since been invaded by vegetation and wild animals.
